Engineering certainty for environments that cannot fail.
We treat documentation as a build product, not paperwork. That discipline is why MLK Consult’s core specialty is on-site QA, E&I and MEP engineering for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and mission-critical data centers and why it carries over just as rigorously to smaller, less complex projects.
The technical disciplines behind every project.
Electrical & Instrumentation
Power distribution, cable infrastructure and instrumentation — designed, installed and verified to comply with DS/HD 60364 across every project scale.
- Electrical design input & load calculations
- Cable schedules & containment routing
- Instrumentation specification & loop checks
- Panel & distribution board coordination
- Compliance verification per DS/HD 60364
Mechanical & HVAC
Process piping, ventilation and climate control — the mechanical backbone of any cleanroom, data hall or production facility.
- HVAC & ventilation system coordination
- Process piping & utilities layout
- Cleanroom air handling verification
- Cooling & climate control for critical spaces
- Mechanical completion sign-off
BMS & Controls
The systems that monitor and control everything else — building management, automation and the sensor networks that keep a facility provably in spec.
- BMS point-to-point verification
- Controls & automation coordination
- Alarm & monitoring system checks
- Integration with fire & life-safety systems
- Data logging & trend verification for QA
How a design becomes buildable.
Before anything is installed, it has to be specified, calculated and checked — engineering’s job, distinct from what happens on site.
Requirements & standards set
We establish the technical basis — applicable codes such as DS/HD 60364, client requirements and site constraints — before a single drawing is drafted.
Calculations & drawings
Cable sizing, load calculations, P&IDs and layout drawings are developed to a level of detail a contractor can actually build from.
Cross-checked before release
Drawings are reviewed across disciplines for clashes, compliance and constructability — catching problems on paper, not on site.
Approved & released
Once verified, drawings are issued for construction (IFC) — the version the site team builds from, under revision control from that point forward.
From site mobilisation to handover, in five qualified stages.
This is the same commissioning sequence we run inside the facilities themselves — picking up where the design was issued for construction.
From drawings to site
IFC drawings, cable schedules and P&IDs from engineering are handed to the site team, with a kickoff review against site conditions before work starts.
Verified as built
Every installed system is checked against approved-for-construction drawings, with non-conformances logged and routed for closure.
Proven under load
Systems are exercised through their full operating range, with results documented to the standard your regulator or client expects.
Held under real conditions
Extended monitoring confirms the facility performs consistently once production or live load begins — not just on test day.
A clean file, not just a working system
Complete documentation package — punch closeout, as-built drawings and sign-off letters — handed over ready for audit.
